Josh Jones

Joshua Wayne Jones departed this life May 8, 2010, near Laquey, Missouri, at the age of 28 years, 7 months and 4 days. Josh was born October 5, 1981, at the old Breech Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri, to the proud parents of Janice Elaine (Echelberry) and Bill Lewis Jones. Josh grew up and attended school in Richland. He was a 2002 graduate of Richland High School. While at RHS, Josh enjoyed being involved with FFA. On June 26, 2004, in Laclede County, Missouri, Josh was united in marriage with Jennifer Lee Inman. Josh and Jennifer shared three children: Johnathon, Julieann and Jaylynn. Most recently, Josh had been working at Bear Trailer Company. He had also been employed at Sheek Plumbing, Hensel Phelps, Copeland and Tracker Marine. Josh loved being outdoors. If he weren’t hunting or fishing, he was riding horses. But he not only enjoyed horseback riding, he was quite a bull rider. What Josh enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. When Josh was a young boy, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Josh had great faith in, and love for his Lord. Josh’s passing has left a great void in the life and hearts of those who knew and loved him. He leaves his wife: Jennifer; three children: Julieann and Jaylynn Jones and Johnathon Inman, all of the home; his father: Bill Jones (Lucy Ward), Richland; his mother: Janice Echelberry, Richland; grandmother: Sue Echelberry, Richland; grandfather: Billie R. Jones, Richland; one sister: Lacy Jones, Rolla; one brother: Danny Jones (Jennifer), Richland; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother: Mary Aileen Jones; grandfather: Glenn Echelberry; uncles: John Lentz, Kenneth Snider, Gary Echelberry and DeWayne Echelberry. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in the Richland Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tom Hill officiating. Mu sic selections included “In The Garden”, “People Are Crazy” and “Hooked On An Eight Second Ride”. Serving as escorts were Danny Jones, Jesse Hendrix, Mike Lentz, Jason Inman, Joe Glawson, Dustin Lansdown, Shawn Tyk, Kenny Snider and Cameron Inman. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery near Richland, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Richland Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Josh Jones.
