Lynda Rhodes

Lynda Anne (Wooldridge) Rhodes, daughter of the late Merle and Churchill Wooldridge, was born May 31, 1939 in Dixon, Illinois. Lynda grew up in a military family and traveled the world. She spent time in Hawaii and Germany before graduating from high school in Lebanon, Missouri. At an early age, Lynda made an important decision in her life and accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized. During her working years, Lynda spent some of those years as owner/operator of the Rhodes Café in Ellington, Missouri. She then became employed with Electrovert in Camdenton, Missouri where she served as office manager for many years before retiring in 2001. After retiring, she found herself working again at the Ozark Outdoorsman in Richland, Missouri. In her spare time, Lynda enjoyed being outdoors while working in her yard and garden. She enjoyed drinking coffee with her friends and was an elite member of the Ozark Outdoorsman Coffee Drinkers Club. She also liked to play a good game of Scrabble with her mother, Churchill Wooldridge, while she was still living. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished those times that they could spend together. Lynda went home to be with her Lord Sunday, March 28, 2010 in her home having attained the age of 70 years, 9 months and 28 days. All those that knew and loved her will sadly miss her. Lynda leaves to cherish her memory three children: Lesli Anderson of the state of Utah, Tim Farmer (Kelly) of Gallatin, TN, and Holly Laughlin (Paul) of Richland, MO; 8 grandchildren including Ben Pixley of Richland, MO who she raised since he was a baby; 1 great grandchild; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, two brothers preceded Lynda in death: Larry Wooldridge of Kansas City, MO and Don Wooldridge of the state of California. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Rev. David Brown officiating. Music selections included “Lead Me Home” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain”. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
