Alice "Faye" Ellwood

Alice “Faye” (Bryant) Ellwood, daughter of the late William Riley and Thula Jane (Luffman) Bryant, was born April 25, 1939, in Belleville, Illinois, where she grew up and attended school, graduating in 1957 from Belleville High. On September 1, 1961, Faye was united in marriage to Ralph Henry Ellwood in Duluth, Minnesota. They shared many wonderful years of marriage together and six children were born: Lori, Anthony, Jodi, Tina, Tammi, and Tanya. The couple made their home in Minnesota for many years until Ralph’s passing on July 8, 1979. Faye then returned to Pulaski County with her daughters. Faye was a hardworking woman and took great pride in taking care of her family and raising her children. She cherished all those times that she spent with her family and friends. In her earlier years Faye liked going the beach and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, shopping and yard saling. As a young girl Faye accepted Christ as her personal Savior and she loved her Lord. She was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Richland. She loved her church family and enjoyed her time of fellowshipping with each one of them. Faye went home to be with her Lord at 3:12 a.m., Monday, September 3, 2012 in the Mercy Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 9 days. Faye will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Faye leaves to cherish her memory three daughters: Tina Provo and her husband, Mark of Tampa, FL, Tammi Ellwood of Richland, MO, and Tanya Ellwood of Richland, MO; 6 grandchildren: Ian and Logan Provo, Erik Ellwood, Trista Zeigenbein, Tara and Tasha Burgess; two brothers: Leroy and Jr. Bryant; several other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by three sisters: Essie Rickert, Rose Hanley and Lucille Price, three beloved infant children: Lori, Anthony and Jodi Ellwood. Memorial services were held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the First Assembly of God of Richland with Pastor Steve Domingue officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Forrest Hills Cemetery of Duluth, Minnesota. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
