Annie Mildred Jackson

Annie M. Jackson entered this world on September 26, 1934 in Olmstead, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Mr. Eddie Stovall and Mrs. Tommie Stovall. She departed this life peacefully on January 3, 2021. She was united in marriage to the late SSG (RET) Preston G. Jackson on December 31, 1966, in Springfield, Tennessee. They had been married for 37 years at the time of her husband's death. The Lord blessed this union with two lovely and faithful daughters, Jean’ne and Vanessa. She was baptized at a young age. She was a member of Greater Community Baptist Church in St. Robert, MO at the time of her death. Annie began her working career at a young age in the hospitality/food service industry. She worked in the industry for over 15 years. She was a professional homemaker, wife, and mother for the most part of her life. A professional homemaker, wife and mother encompass being a spiritual leader, nurse, doctor, lawyer, judge, counselor, coach, mentor, teacher, peace officer, private investigator, private chef, transportation coordination, domestic superintendent of housekeeping, seamstress and childcare provider just to name a few of the professional housewife, wife and mother duties and responsibilities. With that being said, she along with many others were over worked and under paid. However, her CEO and CFO Preston G. Jackson ensured that she had all the resources she required to care for and facilitate their household and home in a professional and proficient manner. They together ensured that their family did not go without. Annie had no problem in speaking her mind right, wrong, or indifferent. She was very sassy and always ready to scrap in a moment’s notice. In other words, don't approach her in the wrong way. On the other hand, she could be the sweetest person you would ever want to meet. She was very generous and would give you about her last if you really were in need. She often spoke about how much she loved the Lord and knew God and His Son; Jesus Christ to love her. Surviving her departure with cherished memories are: two daughters: Jeanne Etienne of Lake City, FL and Vanessa G. Hicks (1SG (RET) Larry X. Hicks) of Columbus, GA, one grandson Anthonie O. Etienne (Crystal) Victorville, CA; one granddaughter: Lyettta Etienne of Radcliff, KY; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one sister: JoAnn Stovall of St. Robert, MO, along with many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Annie Jackson and maybe left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
