Anthony Michael Brill

On August 10, 1977, Anthony Michael Brill entered this world in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He entered his heavenly home on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the age of 47 years. During his growing up years, Anthony attended the Waynesville R-VI School District from kindergarten all through high school, graduating with the Class of 1995. While in high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the wrestling team. Anthony was a member of the Sheldon Christian Church and when he lived in Lebanon, Missouri for a time, he attended the Family Church. Anthony was a hardworking man and took great pride in providing for his family. He worked as a correction officer for the State of Missouri at the Jefferson City Correctional Center and Algoa. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the St. Robert Fire Department for a few years. In his spare time, Anthony was a huge music enthusiast, enjoying all kinds of music. He also enjoyed being outdoors, going on nature walks and fishing. Anthony was a big sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and the Kansas City Chiefs. Anthony loved his family dearly and treasured the times that they could spend together. He would do anything for them and was proud of his three kids: Kalia, Mikenna and Jamie. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his father: Dan Kopsas; three children: Kalia Noonan of Cuba, MO, Mikenna Brill (John) of Cuba, MO, and Jamie Brill of Holt Summit, MO; two grandchildren: John and Blayke; eight siblings: Barb Lehman (Jamie) of Waynesville, MO, Daniel Kopsas (Rachel) of Springfield, MO, Eric Hargis (Rachel) of Jefferson City, MO, Shelby Cole (James) of Lebanon, MO, Tiffany Hargis of Jefferson City, MO, Tyler Franks of Jefferson City, MO, Travis Franks of Lebanon, MO, and Sherry Franks of Lebanon, MO; significant other: Kara Miles and her three boys: Justin, Joseph, and Landon of Nevada, MO; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Bobbie Kopsas and Jim and Roseann Brill; mother: Cathy Brill Willmeno; and stepmother: Wanda Kopsas. Even though he is gone from our sight, Anthony’s spirit and love for his family will live on in our hearts forever. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Larry Dugger officiating. The songs "Forever & Ever, Amen" by Randy Travis, "I Loved Her First" by Heartland and "Home" by Daughtry were played. Serving as escorts were Eric Hargis II, Tom Brill, Daniel Kopsas, John Barnes, Tim Brill, and Ruben Brill. Serving as honorary escorts were Eric Hargis, Skyler Hartis, James Cole, James Brill, and the Waynesville Rural Fire Department. Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Anthony Brill and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
