Arthur "Artie" Bill Glover

Arthur Bill Glover, “Artie” as he was known by, was born August 30, 1958, in Hammond, Indiana, to Billy Carmack Glover and Beatrice Frances Asbell Cundiff, and went to school in Highland, Indiana. At age seventeen, Artie entered the Army Bootcamp and was discharged, going back home to Hammond where he was raised. In the late 80’s, early 90’s, Artie decided to make his way to Missouri where he lived out the remainder of his life. On October 8, 1977, Artie was united in marriage to Penny Colleen Lewis in Bridgeview, Illinois. Artie and Penny made many wonderful lasting memories together for over forty-seven years while raising their precious daughters, Sandi, Chrystal, and Tamra. Artie’s chosen career path was that of a long-haul truck driver. He also enjoyed all genres of music and was a big NASCAR fan. He enjoyed the simple things in life, being outdoors camping, and getting together with his family. However, Artie’s most prized processions were things that money could never buy; times spent with his family and friends were what he treasured most in life. Artie was preceded in death by his father, Billy Carmack Glover and step-mother, Opal; his step-father, Hugh Cundiff; two sisters, Kathy Sloan, and JoAnn Rawlings; three brothers, Fred, Marvin, and Mike Cundiff. Artie passed away on the evening of Friday, February 21, 2025 with in the Lake Regional Health System having attained the age of sixty-six; and leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Penny Glover of Richland, MO; three daughters: Sandi Glover of Richland, MO, Chrystal Knapp (James) of Lebanon, MO, and Tamra Glover (John) of Richland, MO; 6 grandchildren: Colleen, Daren, Brian, Kaylee, Hannah, and Levigh; 4 great grandchildren: Ian, Anthony “Mackie”, Salara, and Baylon; his mother, Beatrice Cundiff of Lebanon, MO; three siblings: Norma Cundiff of Waynesville, MO, Tammy Hamilton (Rex), and Mack Glover (Kay) all of Dalton, GA; two brothers-in-law: Leroy Sloan of the state of KY, and Billy Rawlings of Lebanon, MO; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. The fun and laughter that Artie created in this life will last a lifetime in the hearts of those he loved. Gone too soon, but never forgotten, always and forever you will remain until we meet again. Arthur “Artie” Bill Glover, 66 of Richland, MO passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System Osage Beach, Missouri. A visitation was held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the Memorial Chapel funeral home of Richland, Missouri. Services are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland, Missouri.
