Betty Jean Wagner

Betty Jean Wagner, daughter of the late Daniel James and Katherine Irene (Tucker) Shell, was born May 3, 1956 in Richland Center, Wisconsin where she grew up and attended school. On June 20, 1980, Betty was united in marriage to Bill J. Wagner. They shared over 22 years of marriage together. At the time of their marriage, Betty gained a daughter, Donna, and Betty and Bill were blessed with two daughters, Candy and Jenny. Betty was able to stay home and raise her daughter, Candy and she took great pride in providing a warm and inviting home for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching cooking shows, playing a Bible verse game on her phone, and riding her chair to visit with friends. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved playing with her grandkids, whether it was imagination games, board games, being outside or taking selfies on their phones, she loved every minute she spent with them. Betty passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri having attained the age of 63 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Betty leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter: Candy Daniel (Bo Ryan, Jr.) of Richland, MO; one step-daughter: Donna Wagner Odegaard (Randy) of St. Paul, MN; three grandchildren: Austin and Kevin Loney and Reghan Wagner; four great grandchildren: Adaline, Samuel, Evangeline and Sebastian; two sisters: Cindy Day of Richland, MO and Sandy Crossland of Crocker, MO; two brothers: Bill Shell of Lebanon, MO and Raymond Shell (Debbie) of Richland, MO; nieces and nephews: Ethel (Cory) Rowden, Veena Mitchell, Joe (Steph) Mitchell, Willy (Rebecca) Shell, Frank (Jamie) Shell, Tina Shell, Lisa Shell, Sherry Shell, Cleve, Sandy, Daniel, Tim and Josh Crossland, Ray Shell, Mel Shell, Chelsey (Ryley) Huff, Christopher Rowden, Crystal, Christian and Bobby Johnson and Chandra and TeKera Stradt; cousins: Sherry (Daryl) DeMort and Sandy; sister-in-law: Millie Shell; best friends: Joyce, Janet and Irene; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Bill Wagner; one daughter: Jenny Wagner; other family members: Kenny Shell, Daniel Kathen Shell, Danny Bob Shell, Rafe Wagner, Ben Marie Wagner, Breand Shell and Tommy Hernandez. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Willie and Frank Shell officiating. The songs “Dancing in the Sky”, “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain” were played. Serving as escorts were Willie Shell, Frank Shell, Austin Loney, Kevin Loney, Ryley Huff, Joe Mitchell, Robert Johnson and Ray Shell. Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty Wagner and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
