Carol Jean Boegler

Carol Jean Boegler, daughter of the late Clarence and Venus (Meltabarger) Foster, was born January 10, 1938 in Springfield, Missouri. She grew up in the Crocker and attended Bear Ridge Grade School and graduated from Crocker High School in 1955. Carol worked for a time with Frontier Air Lines as a stewardess before marrying the love of her life, Marvin D. Boegler. They were united in marriage on February 12, 1966 in Crocker. They shared over 44 wonderful years of marriage together and were blessed with one son, Chris. Carol worked for Security Bank of Waynesville for several years and then became employed with the Public Affairs Office on Fort Leonard Wood. She retired November 30, 1999 after 15 years of service. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed collecting antiques, hand crafts and liked to read. She was a very active member of the Crocker Christian Church and was also a member of the Waynesville Study Club and the Cave State Cruiser Car Club. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Carol went home to be with her Lord the afternoon of Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the Cox Medical Center-South of Springfield, Missouri at the age of 72 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Carol leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Marv Boegler of the home; one son: Chris Boegler (Jennifer) of Laquey, MO; two sisters: Glenda Slawson (Howard) of Waynesville, MO and Clova Schellack (Ralph) of Joplin, MO; two brothers: Bill Foster (Evelyn) of Springfield, MO and Denny Foster (Diane) of Ashland, MO; two grandchildren: Haley and Calem; several other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 5, 2010 in the Crocker Christian Church of Crocker, Missouri with Rev. Larry Richards officiating. Edna June Adamson and Betty Brown were accompanied by Janell Shelton as they sang “Amazing Grace”. A loving video tribute of Carol’s life was also shown during the service. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol Boegler and may be left at the funeral home.
