Carolyn Sue Prock

Carolyn Sue Prock, went home to be with the Lord at 3:42 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon. She had attained the age of 63 years and 6 days. Daughter of the late Howard L. and Mary Emma (Crossland) Williams, Carolyn was born June 5, 1948 in Waynesville, Missouri. She grew up in the Buckhorn area and went to school in Laquey and graduated from Waynesville High School. Carolyn was a hardworking woman and took great pride in providing for her family. She worked as a seamstress for H.D. Lee, Brown Shoe Co. and Paramount Headwear Co. For a time, Carolyn worked as a cook for the Blue Bird Café and Witmor Farms. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed crocheting and quilting. When she was able to, she enjoyed making things for her family and friends. She was also very talented when it came to cake decorating. She decorated many cakes over the years. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her two dogs, Tippie and Lucky and her cat Henri. At an early age, Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized. She was a member of the Buckhorn First Baptist Church. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory one daughter: Belinda Prock of Waynesville; sister: Zora Pease (Bill) of Waynesville; one brother: Arthur Williams (Lucille) of Salem; one grandson: Johnathan Prock; pets: Tippie, Lucky and Henri; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by Donald L. Prock; one son: Donald L. Prock II; two brothers: Billy Crossland and Gene Williams; and one sister: Marie Collins. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. Soloist Becky Lercher sang “One Day at a Time” and the songs “The Last Date” and “Angels Rock Me To Sleep” were played. Serving as escorts were Steve Urbas, Greg Owens, Mike Scarlett, Daniel Williams, Troy and Dexter Frey. Serving as honorary escorts were Bill Pease, Johnathan Prock, Clay Brown and Harlan Leatherman. Burial followed in the Buckhorn Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carolyn Prock and may be left at the funeral home.
