Christine Kelly (Oursbourn) Morgan

Christine Kelly Morgan, the youngest daughter born to Vicky “Vic” Joe Oursbourn and Sharon Kay (Pruitt) Oursbourn on September 9, 1987, in Columbia, Missouri. “Chris,” “Chrissy,” as she was lovingly called attended school in Laquey until the 6th grade before her parents moved to the Stoutland area, where Chris completed her education; graduating with the SHS class of 2006. Chris made a profession of faith as a young girl while attending High Point Baptist Church and was baptized. On April 6, 2014 in Stoutland, Missouri, Chris married Rex Alexander Morgan. Together they enjoyed life while raising their precious young son, Gage Joseph Ray Morgan, who is the apple of his parents eye. Chris loved being a wife and mother. Her desire was for her son to have a good life, learn all that he could, be confident, brave, and willing to try new things, but most importantly have fun along the way. Chris loved kids. She had worked in Day Care briefly but then went on to work at Care Facilities and Churches. Chris was currently working as a CNA-Tec. She had a servants heart and was dedicated to lending a helping hand; even when Chris wasn’t working, she always worried about her clients. Chris looked at them as an extension of her own family. In her spare time Chris enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. She was devoted to her family and loved to spoil everyone. Chris lived a life filled with kindness, purpose, and joy, right until her passing. Her busy day began like many before had. Not feeling her best, Chris powered through her day and headed off to work. Shortly after arriving on the evening of Friday, May 30, 2025, Chris suddenly collapsed and was taken to Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri, where she passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior having obtained the age of thirty-seven years. Chris will always be remembered for her kindness, sweet smile, humor, infectious laugh, and her resilience in facing the challenges of life. Her legacy of love and compassion continues to light our lives, even as we mourn her absence. Family and friendships were at the center of Chris’s world. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Rex Morgan, her pride and joy and beloved son, Gage Morgan both of the home; her father, Vic Oursbourn (Lucille Allen) of Laquey, MO; 2 sisters, Shelly Bonsall (Bob) of Stoutland, MO, and Teresa Morgan (Rodney) of the state of Maryland; her father-in-law: Tony Rex Morgan of Rolla, MO; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends. Chrissy was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Kay (Pruitt) Oursbourn (8/3/2006), one brother, Daryl Lee Oursbourn (4/27/2001), paternal grandparents, Ernest Clifford Oursbourn (7/22/1994) and Violet Mae (Wilson) Oursbourn (9/19/2008), maternal grandparents Clifford Claude Pruitt (1/27/1986) and Imo Fairy (Carroll) Pruitt (3/17/1999). Though Chris is no longer with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We take comfort in the memories we shared, and the love Chris poured into the ones she loved. Chris would not want anyone to be saddened by her passing but happy in knowing that she has begun her new life in Heaven with God. She was surely greeted with open arms by her loved ones and friends who preceded her. Chris’s wish would be for each person to live life to its fullest, loving deeply, and cherishing one another. Rest in peace, our precious Christine. You are forever in our hearts. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. Recorded songs “Heaven’s Lucky To Have You,” “Scars In Heaven,” and “Dancing In The Sky.” Family and Friends served as escorts. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland, MO. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Christine Kelly (Oursbourn) Morgan and may be left at the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
