Donna Maria York-Williamson

Donna Maria York-Williamson, daughter of Donald Wesley and Mary Louise (Eldredge) York, was born August 28, 1947 in Waynesville, Missouri. She grew up in the Richland area and graduated from Richland High School in 1965. Donna was a hardworking woman and during her working years, she worked for Conoco Oil Company, Southwest Missouri State University and Savanna River Site doing secretarial work. On June 29, 2007, Donna was united in marriage to Scott Williamson and they shared many wonderful memories together. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed being outdoors. You could find her either working in her flowers or on the river fishing. She also loved her dogs and playing with them. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Donna was also a very encouraging person and many of her friends and families were recipients of handwritten greeting cards with words of encouragement. Donna was a woman of faith and that was evident in her everyday life. Donna passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in her home having attained the age of 67 years. She was taken too soon and she will be missed but not forgotten by all those that knew and loved her. Donna leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Scott Williamson of the home; her mother: Mary York of Nixa, MO; two children: Kent Whitaker (Kellie) of Republic, MO and Heather Markham of Chickasha, OK; seven grandchildren: Michael Heffernon, Alissa Palaska, Megan Whitaker, Michelle Whitaker, Emily Markham, Ian Markham, and Hannah Markham; six great grandchildren: Hunter Heffernon, Alexis Palaska, McCoy Rogers, Jaxson Palaska, Jace Heffernon and Ella Markham; step-daughter: Carrie Williams (Mike Wilson) of Waynesville, MO; one brother: Donald York (Susan) of Fremont Hills, MO; one sister: Maryann Jones (Kirk) of Willard, MO; very special friends: Bonnie Baker, Terry & Wilda Landers and Charlotte Payne; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald Wesley York and one great grandchild. A memorial gathering was held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Friends and family shared their wonderful memories of Donna. Burial will be held at a later date in the York Manes Cemetery near Richland, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donna Williamson to the Pulaski County Humane Society and may be left at the funeral home.
