Erick James Eubanks

Erick James Helmick Eubanks was born March 15, 1985, and lived in Lucedale, Mississippi from 1985 to 1995. He was the son of Henry “Hank” and June Eubanks. He initially attended Rocky Creek Elementary School in the Rocky Creek community. After relocating to Missouri, he attended school at Rock of Ages Christian Academy in St. Robert, graduating with honors. He completed his education from American School. As a young man, Erick professed his faith in Jesus Crist and initially was a member of Life in Christ Fellowship, Lucedale, Mississippi at the age of 8. For a short period of time after moving to Missouri, he attended Victory Fellowship Church in Waynesville, Missouri where he played drums for the praise and worship team; then he went on to attend and play drums for their praise and worship team “Lighthouse Church” in St. Robert. He eventually joined the praise and worship team as lead guitarist at the First Assembly Church in St. Robert. It was during this time frame that Erick joined a group of musicians to play praise and worship for two separate morning chapel serviced on Fort Leonard Wood. Eric, a self-taught musician, was instrumental in forming Str8-Up Praise Band wherein he was lead guitarist from 2001 until 2005. In 2006 he joined the band “Ten Down” and was currently involved in the band as lead guitarist and backup vocals. Erick was also enthusiastic about sports. In his younger days, he played t-ball, and basketball, and was proficient in both. Erick will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Erick leaves to cherish his memory his dad and mom: Hank and June Eubanks; his biological mother (daughter of Henry M. Eubanks): Linda A. (Helmick) Eubanks of California; five siblings: Kathy A. (Eubanks) Ford, Brenda (Henson) Kinchen, Henry A. Eubanks Sr, Kevin Henson, and Cindy G. (Eubanks) Burnett; many other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by Edwin M. Eubanks. Memorial Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 in the St. Robert First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Chris Wiggs officiating. Services were also held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 in the Life In Christ Fellowship Church of Lucedale, Mississippi with Pastor Tim Rogers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
