Jackie Daniel Zeigenbein

Jackie Daniel Zeigenbein, son of Lewis E. and Cleta Lois (Thompson) Zeigenbein, was born May 5, 1959, in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He departed this life Friday, February 1, 2013, in his home, in Campbellsburg, Indiana, at the age of fifty-three years, eight months and twenty-seven days. He was preceded in death by his son, Jermiah, on July 25, 2009, by his mother, Cleta, on June 8, 1969, and his grandparents, Ed and Dora Zeigenbein, and Jack and Rachel Thompson. Jackie is survived by his two sons, Jack Daniel Zeigenbein II, of Laquey, MO, and Jay Edward Zeigenbein, of Laquey, MO; a grandson, Dylan Zeigenbein, of Laquey, MO; his father, Lewis Zeigenbein, of Campbellsburg, IN; one brother, David Zeigenbein, of Campbellsburg, IN; two sisters, Nancy Gibbons, of Campbellsburg, IN, and Martha Carey, of Vincennes, IN; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Illinois and had lived there, came to Missouri to the Richland area, and five years ago moved to Campbellsburg, Indiana, where he made his home near family. In earlier years he lived in Branson, MO, where he worked in hotel maintenance, until his health failed. His family was very important to him, and he enjoyed spending time with them. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. He found great pleasure in playing his guitar and riding motorcycles. Jackie was a cherished father, son, grandfather and brother, and will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him. We celebrate his life and treasure the memories he created for his family and many friends. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Services were held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Rev. Steve Domingue officiating. Favorite music selections included “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “I Can Only Imagine”. Serving as pallbearers were, Leslie Gibbons, Daniel Zeigenbein, Darrell Zeigenbein, Jay Zeigenbein, Frank Zeigenbein and Randy Walters. Burial followed in the Mt. Union Cemetery, Miller County, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jackie Daniel Zeigenbein.
