Jeana Patrice George

Jeana Patrice George, daughter of Ralph Monell and Freida May (Kelly) Pursley, was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1961. As a young girl, Jeana attended school at Swedeborg Elementary School and then transferred to Crocker High School. Jeana began working at Lodge of the Four Season at Lake of the Ozarks and she met a young man by the name of Maurice “Moe” Alan George. They were united in marriage on January 2, 1981, and to this union three children were born. Two of their children went to Heaven as infants, Patricia Lynn and Maurice J.R. She was a hardworking woman and took great pride in providing for her family. She worked at the Lee Factory and later drove a semi-truck and the one occupation that brought her the most joy was being a homemaker. In her spare time, Jeana enjoyed crocheting, making magnets, and baking and cooking especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also liked to be outdoors while floating the river, but especially treasured the times that the family could spend together. Jeana was a lifetime member of the Ladie’s Auxiliary of the Crocker VFW Post #4956. At an early age, Jeana made an important decision in her life and was baptized. She attended Crocker Assembly of God until her health began to decline. She entered her heavenly home Sunday, November 24, 2024, in her home in Crocker, Missouri having attained the age of 63 years. Jeana will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter: Charlotte Huffman (Jeff) of Crocker, MO; five grandchildren: Chris Carson, Cody Carson, Tristan Wray, Shawn Vergara, and Kyle Huffman; four great grandchildren: Maverick, Ayla, Allison, and Avry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her infant children, Jeana was preceded in death by her father: Ralph Monell; mother: Freida Monell Pursley; stepfather: Wayne Pursley, Sr.; husband: Maurice George; two sisters: Cherry Pursley and Sharon Brunston; and two brothers: Ronald “Marty” Monell and William “PeeWee” Monell. Even though she is gone from our sight, Jeana’s love and commitment for her family will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 in the Crocker Memorial Park Cemetery of Crocker, Missouri. Serving as escorts were Chris Carson, Cody Carson, Tristan Wray, Shawn Vergara, Kyle Huffman, and Jacob Charlton. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeana George and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
