Jimmie "Sue" Williams

Jimmie “Sue” Williams, daughter of the late James Vance Tilley and Ada Pearl (Mallett) Tilley, was born September 4, 1954, in Harrison, Arkansas. Sue, as she was known by her family and friends, grew up in a military family living in several different places, but mostly lived and grew up in the Fort Leonard Wood/St. Robert, Missouri area. She attended Waynesville R-VI School District High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. In 1979, Sue graduated from the Rolla School of Cosmetology and owned and operated her own salon for 25 years. She loved visiting with all her customers throughout the years and formed lifelong friendships with some along the way. On February 24, 1989, in St. Robert, Missouri, at her parent’s home, Sue was united in marriage to Jackie “Jack” Ray Williams, Jr. They shared over 35 years of marriage together and many wonderful memories. Sue was a very gifted artist and crafter. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, drawing, and doing different craft projects. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Sue was raised in the Church of Christ and had made a profession of faith. She entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Phelps Health Hospital of Rolla, Missouri having reached the age of 70 years. Sue will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Jack R. Williams, Jr. of the home; two sisters: Linda Winn (David) of Columbia, MO and Pat Willis of Columbia, MO; two brothers: Ben Tilley (Janet) of Columbia, MO and Larry Tilley (Sarah) of Rogersville, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Even though she is gone from our sight, Sue’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Services were held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Linda Winn, Sue's sister, gave the eulogy, Olivia Pang read the obituary, closing remarks & prayer were done by David Winn, Sue's brother-in-law, and the songs "How Great Thou Art" and "Just A Closer Walk with Thee" were played. Interment was held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jimmie “Sue” Williams to the St. Jude's Children's Reasearch Hospital and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
