Lilly Geneva Cyr

Lilly Geneva Cyr, daughter of Marion and Elva (Myers) Exendine, was born September 14, 1941, in Waynesville, Missouri. She departed this life September 1, 2016, in the Richland Care Center, in Richland, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, eleven months and seventeen days. On January 28, 1980, she was united in marriage to Joffre Cyr, and they have shared the last thirty-six years together. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Romona Black; a brother, Clyde Exendine; and her sister, Ailene Kinworthy. Lilly is survived by her husband, Joffre, of the home; her son, Raymond “Bobby” Tudor, Jr., and his wife, Kimberley, of Waynesville, MO; three grandchildren, Norman Black, Jr., Chandler Lee Tudor, Jr., and Kayla Harris; two brothers, Junior Exendine and Homer Exendine (Jessie) all of Waynesville, MO; two sisters, Lois Hatcher of Peoria, IL, and Gracie Goodrich (Glen) of Waynesville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Pulaski County area and attended the old Laquey School. Her family was very special to her, and she loved spending time with them, especially the grandchildren. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to country music, and knew lots of facts about it. She also enjoyed reading and growing and tending her flowers. Lilly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the many wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. She will live on in our hearts forever. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. The songs “Amazing Grace”, “Lead, Me, Guide Me” and “Peace in the Valley” all by Elvis Presley were played. Serving as escorts were Sherman Exendine, David Exendine, Johno Smith, Charles Cochran, Michael Bainter and Danny Graves III. Serving as honorary escorts were Raymond R. Tudor, Jr. and Chandler Lee Tudor. Burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri.
