Linda Kay Crismon

Linda Kay Crismon, daughter of the late Hershel Morris Jett and Irma Lucille (Blackwell) Jett, was born in Bland, Missouri on March 20, 1942. As a young girl, Linda attended school and grew up in Bland. On September 3, 1961, Linda was united in marriage to Tony Leland Crismon in Iberia, Missouri. They shared over 57 years of marriage together and were blessed with two children: Karen and Tony Dean. Tony preceded Linda in death on May 27, 2019. In her early years, Linda worked as a beautician in a small shop in Buckhorn, Missouri before beginning her career at the Laquey school as a secretary where she served for many years. She loved interacting with the children at the school and in fact she probably pulled every kid’s loose tooth at school. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed reading, watching game shows, and picking blackberries. She was a very good cook and loved spending time with her family. She loved them dearly and would do anything for them. When her children were younger, she was the taxicab driver, along with her co-pilot Patsy Crismon, that took them to the swimming pool in Richland. Linda had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Idumea Baptist Church. She went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in the Mercy Hospital of Lebanon, Missouri having attained the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Linda leaves to cherish her memory her two children: Karen Crismon of Waynesville, MO, and Tony Dean Crismon (Amanda) of Waynesville, MO; seven grandchildren: Josh Post of Waynesville, MO, Jason Post of Waynesville, MO, Michael Bainter (Lydia Watson) of Richland, MO, Nick Rollins (Ari-Ann) of Columbia, MO, Corey Rollins (Miwako) of Nixa, MO, Riley Rollins (Julie) of the State of Texas, and Tony Dean Crismon, Jr. (Callie) of Waynesville, MO; nine great grandchildren: Zimri, Escher, Iver, Maya, Macaiah, Joseph, Joshua, Evelin, and Tony Dean III; four brothers: Clifton Jett (Brenda) of Jefferson City, MO, Morris Jett (Karen) of Mansfield, TX, Floyd Jett (Debbie) of Fairplay, MO, and Randy Jett (Missy) of Belle, MO; two sisters: Carolyn Surface (Jim) of Centertown, MO, and Peggy White (Daryl) of Belle, MO; sister-in-law: Donna Jett of Kimberling City, MO; brother-in-law: Gilbert Crismon (Patsy) of Jasper, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by two brother, David and Ron Jett. Even though she is gone from our sight, Linda’s love for her family will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Danny Graves and Pastor Ernest Ray officiating. Soloist Becky Lercher sang "Amazing Grace" and "Sheltered in the Arms of God". Linda's brother-in-law, Gilbert Crismon recalled his wonderful memories of Linda. Serving as escorts were Nick Rollins, Tony Crismon, Josh Post, Jason Post, Michael Bainter, and Willie Miller. Burial followed in the Buckhorn Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda Crismon and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
