Logan Bruce Myers

Logan Bruce Myers, son of the late Ivan Leonard Myers and Billia Louise (Radford) Myers, was born December 26, 1949, in Sunny Side, Washington. At the age of four, Bruce, along with his family, moved back to the Crossroads area in Laclede County, Missouri where they resided for a couple of years before they moved to Richland, Missouri. Bruce attended school in Richland and graduated from Richland High School. In 1970, he entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge in 1972 at which time, he moved back to Pulaski County where he spent the remainder of his life. On October 10, 1987, in Lebanon, Missouri, Bruce was united in marriage to Linda Marie Rue. They shared over 36 years of marriage together and were blessed with four children: Ronni, Nancy, Billy, and Amanda. Bruce was a hardworking man and took great pride in providing for his family. He worked for the City of St. Robert for 22 years as a mechanic before retiring. He also was very community minded and served as a police officer with the City of Richland for a short time. In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed bowling and even coached a junior bowling team for a time. He liked motorcycles, even repairing them, and was a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders. Bruce was also a member of the Kickapoo Trace Free Trappers. Bruce’s family was very important to him, and he treasured all the time that they could spend together. They were his pride and joy, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bruce passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in his home in Waynesville surrounded by his family having attained the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda of the home in Waynesville; his four children, Ronni Jeter (Rick) of Stoutland, MO, Nancy Vess of Richland, MO, Billy Stealy of Waynesville, MO, and Amanda Cantrell of Lebanon, MO; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three siblings, Iva Nell Workman (Coy) of Richland, MO, Kevin Myers (Kay) of Lebanon, MO, and Mac Myers (Beth) of Richland, MO; a brother-in-law, David Baldwin of Eldon, MO; his mother-in-law, Shirley Rue of Crocker, MO; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Stocksdill (Stacey) of Crocker, MO, Cathy Sundell (Roy) of Crocker, MO, and Donna Boatright (Neal) of Brunswick, GA; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Even though he is gone from our sight, Bruce’s love and commitment for his family will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside services with military honors were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. Military honors were provided by the Missouri Honors Team and services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Memorial Contributions in memory of Logan Bruce Myers may be made and left at the funeral home.
