Lorna Kathleen (Doran) Carroll

Lorna Kathleen (Doran) Carroll daughter of the late Richard Lee and Peggy Nell (Grayson) Doran was born September 14, 1954 in California where she grew up and graduated from High School. As fate would have it, Lorna met and married Donald “Wayne” Carroll. The two moved to Richland, Missouri in 1995, sharing many years of love, joy, family, friends, and a lifetime of memories together before his passing on January 10, 2012. Lorna raised her four children, Daniel, Colt Lee, Cortni Marie and Tonya. She was proud of her little family and lovingly cared for them, and her home. She worked outside the home at Wal-Mart for over 19 years. Lorna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Richland and enjoyed the fellowship and friendships that were made there over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Lorna departed from this life on Tuesday, September 14, 2014 at her home in Richland, Missouri at the age of 60. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children: Daniel Marlar of Mountain House, CA; Colt Lee Johnasen of Moore, OK; Cortni Marie Johnasen of Edmond, OK and Tonya Nell Marlar of Brentwood, CA; six grandchildren: James Brasher, Joseph Brasher, Jed Brasher, Jack Brasher, Jaidon Colt Johnasen, Sophia Marie Dangora; one brother: Richard Doran, two sisters: Rhonda Peyrucain, Sandy Vona all of the state of CA; two sister-in-laws: Evalyn Sprucebank and her husband, Irvin and Peggy Wilson and her husband, Dean all of Richland, MO; one brother-in-law: Gary Carroll of Richland, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorna was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family more than anything, and always loved spending time with them. Lorna always had a warm smile and a hug to share with anyone. She was a beautiful person on the inside, as well as the outside. Lorna was compassionate, witty, and loving, this was her legacy. Though we will miss her presence and beautiful smile, today we choose to celebrate her life, and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created with her family and friends. Our loss is Heaven’s gain! A memorial gathering was held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the American Legion Post 240, Richland, Missouri.
