Lorrie Ann Parker

Lorrie Ann (Atterberry) Parker, daughter of the late Leonard Ray Atterberry and Betty Jean (Roam) Wilson, was born June 2, 1971 in Augsburg, Germany. Lorrie grew up in the Waynesville area and attended school in the Laquey School District where she graduated in 1989. On June 3, 1989, Lorrie was united in marriage to Jimmy Gene Parker in St. Robert, Missouri. They shared over 26 years together and many wonderful memories. Lorrie worked in the home care business for the elderly and loved taking care of her clients. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting blankets and other items for her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family. Lorrie passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri having attained the age of 44 years. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Lorrie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Jim Parker of Waynesville, MO; three daughters: Nicole (Bryce) Eldridge of Lake City, AR, Linsey (Rob) Parker of Lebanon, MO and Violet Atterberry of Waynesville, MO; her father: Richard Wilson of Linn Creek, MO; one sister: Cheryell Bowen of Waynesville, MO; three brothers: Michael Atterberry of Buffalo, MO and Ronnie Wilson and Craig Wilson, both of Richland, MO; five grandchildren: Addison Eldridge, Anthony Parker, Lily Eldridge, Brendon Eldridge and Emily Pruitt; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Lorrie was preceded in death by her grandparents Leonard E. and Goldie L. Hickie Atterberry. Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Randy Sapp officiating. The songs “Go Rest High on that Mountain” by Vince Gill, “I Swear” by John Michael Montgomery, “Beulah Land” by Casting Crowns and “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten were played. Lorrie’s daughter, Linsey recalled her wonderful memories of her mom. Serving as escorts were Rick, Robbie, Matthew, Darrin, Justin and David Sapp and Ronnie Wilson. Serving as honorary escorts were Craig Wilson and Eddie Sapp. Burial followed in the Idumea Cemetery of Laquey, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lorrie Parker and may be left at the funeral home.
