Margaret Ann Hutsell

Margaret Ann Hutsell, daughter of the late Govenor Haskell and Rosa Nell (Decker) Parker, was born June 19, 1940 in Knox City, Texas. She went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri having attained the age of seventy-six years. As a young girl, Margaret grew up in Abilene, Texas where she attended school and graduated from high school. On October 3, 1970, Margaret was united in marriage to the love of her life, Paul Richard Hutsell in Abilene, Texas. Two families came together at their union with their children: Terry, Mitzi and Rick. Paul and Margaret’s family was then blessed with Melinda and Jason. Margaret, Paul and their family lived in Abilene, Texas for a time before moving to the Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri area. While in Texas, Margaret worked for Timex and also had a part time job with Sew Fro Fabrics, which she enjoyed immensely. At the age 24, Margaret made a very important decision in her life; she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized. From that moment on, her life was never the same. She became a faithful student of the Bible, read it completely through several times and was continuously making notes and underlining passages in her Bible. Margaret knew her Bible well, was able to quote numerous passages of Scripture and most importantly, she trusted God completely in every area of her life. Margaret was a member of the Westside Baptist Church and was very faithful in serving. From the time she accepted Christ as her Savior until a few weeks before she passed away, she taught Sunday School from the littlest of children to the older ladies. Margaret will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Paul Hutsell of the home; five children: Melinda Tronstad and husband Aaron of Waynesville, MO, Jason Hutsell and wife Tiffany of Abilene, TX, Terry Gates and husband Bill of Louisville, KY, Mitzi Hamlin of Charleston, SC and Rick Hutsell and wife Maria of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren: Bryan Hefner, Richard Hutsell, Lauren and Trevor Tronstad, Wyatt, Ethan, Nora and Tobias Hutsell, Ryan Gates and Lindsay Shultz; several great grandchildren; two siblings: Pat Parker of Denton, TX and Glenda Cone of Springtown, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by infant son: Michael Helstrom; four siblings: Frank Taylor, June Gire, Tom Taylor and Marie Parker; and one grandson: Brandon Hefner. Margaret was finally able to realize her heart’s desire when she heard her Savior say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”. Matthew 25:21 Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Westside Baptist Church of Waynesville, Missouri with Pastor John Shaw officiating. Greg Gable and Becky Lercher sang “Amazing Grace”, “Room at the Cross” and “Victory in Jesus”. Serving as escorts were Aaron Tronstad, Trevor Tronstad, Joe Clipp, Bill Gates, Richard Skouby and Chuck Lynn. Serving as honorary escorts were Wyatt Hutsell, Ethan Hutsell, Dale Cone and Rick Hutsell. Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Margaret Hutsell to the Radio Bible Class (Our Daily Bread), American Cancer Society or the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
