Marie Eberhard

Marie Eberhard, daughter of Lonzo Dunn and Betty Jacqulyna (Lowery) Dunn, was born July 16, 1955 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Due to her father being in the military, Marie was an Army brat and the family was stationed at several different places: Arizona, California, Germany and Virginia. She came to Missouri 25 years ago where she has resided since. In 1996, Marie was united in marriage to Robert Thomas Eberhard in Jefferson City, Missouri. They shared over 21 years of marriage together and many wonderful memories. Marie was a hardworking woman who took great pride in helping to provide for her family. Over her working years, she was employed as a Nursing Assistant, Dental Technician, Bank Teller, Armed Forces Exchanged and Manager for U-Haul. In 1994, she worked for the Department of Corrections and medically retired in 2002 after 18 years of faithful service. In her spare time, Marie loved to dance, riding with her husband, playing pool and was never afraid of expressing herself. She was very active in her community; helping at the voting polls, and delivering for Meals on Wheels during Christmas. She was a member of the Eastern Star, A Widows Sons Lady, Freedom of the Road Riders and Raised Riders (Shriners). Marie passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in her residence having attained the age of 60 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Marie is survived by her husband: Robert Eberhard of the home; one daughter: Christina Marie Lewis and her partner Tanya Myers of Holts Summit, MO; Two Stepchildren: Robert Eberhard of E. Providence, RI and Chania Tyre of Lebanon, MO; Twelve grandchildren: Ian Manseau, Niklas Manseau, Anastasia Myrick, Alexander Myrick, Sebastian Lewis, Trevor Gleason, Bobbie Stenson, Anthony Heberling, John Heberling, Devin Heberling, Dylan Heberling, and Jordan Heberling; three sisters: Betty Graham (Larry) of Stark City, MO, Susan Pruitt (Chris) of Crocker, MO and Sandra Le Gall (Ben) of Waynesville, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her mother: Betty Dunn; son: Bobby Gene Lewis; sister and brother-in-law: Debra and Eugene Scott; infant brother: Lonzo Dunn, Jr.; and one grandson: Evan Manseau. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rick Smith and Bill Towns officiating. The songs “Girl Crush”, “Free Bird”, “Carry on Wayward Son” and “Sunday Morning Coming Down” were played. Marie's Last Ride is Scheduled for the 5th of March leaving from the Shrine Club at noon. Come out and ride with us, taking our Sister Marie on her Last Ride. The Ride will end at the Elbow Inn.
