Mary Loella Inman

Mary Loella Inman, daughter of the late Edward Thomas Schell and Harriet Alice (Negely) Schell, was born December 14, 1942, in Parks, Nebraska. As a young girl, Mary grew up in Nebraska and graduated from high school. Mary was united in marriage to Donald Glen Horn, and they were blessed with four children: Donald, Angela, Kevin, and Timothy. Mary and Donald shared several years together before he preceded her in death. Mary was united in marriage to a United States Marine Vietnam veteran, Jim Inman, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Mary worked in health care while still in Nebraska. She later moved to the Kansas City, Kansas area and in 1989 came to the Waynesville, Missouri area. In her later years, she spent time between here and Buffalo, Missouri. Mary also worked in the clerical field and waitress for a few years. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting and taking care of her indoor plants. She was an avid reader and was always looking for something new to read. Most importantly, she loved her family. They were very important to her, and she treasured the times that they could spend together. Mary passed away February 19, 2025, in her home in Buffalo, Missouri having attained the age of 82 years. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Donald Horn, Angela Horn of Avada, CO, Kevin Horn (Laurie) of Rolla, MO, and Timothy Horn of Kansas City, KS; eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Edwin Schell of Grand Island, NE; three sisters, Betty Cushing of Sutton, NE, Delberta Sabata of Aurora, NE; and Helen Kliewer of Stockham, NE; two cousins, May Holder of Buffalo, MO and Cina of Oro Valley, AZ; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers: Roy, Elmer and Elwin; brothers-in-laws: Belden Cushing, Lyle Sabata, and Roy Kliewer. Even though she is gone from our sight, Mary’s love for her family will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2025, in the Palace Cemetery, under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
