Matthew and Isaiah Reid

Matthew Lee Reid (born September 2, 2004) and Isaiah Daniel Reid (born October 27, 2005), sons of Daniel and Jessica (Hagerty) Reid, grew up in the Laquey, Missouri area and were students at Laquey Elementary School. They were both active little boys. Matthew enjoyed reading and watching and playing any type of video games, computer games or sports. His favorite things were trucks and Angry Birds. Isaiah enjoyed science, dinosaurs and robots. His favorite things were dinosaurs and Angry Birds. One thing the boys loved to do was to load up and drive down to the river. They enjoyed throwing rocks in the water and fishing. The loved four wheeling through the water with the truck and would go crazy with excitement. Matthew, age 10, and Isaiah, age 9, were carried to heaven in the arms of angels on November 20, 2014. They will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved them. Matthew and Isaiah are survived by their parents: Daniel and Jessica Reid of Laquey, MO; five siblings: Kayla Johnson of Columbus, GA, Carol Reid and Scarlet Reid of Laquey, MO, Daniel Reid, Jr. of Dixon, MO and Elijah Reid of Laquey, MO; maternal grandparents: Melvin and Phuong Hagerty of St. Robert, MO; paternal grandparents: Jim Reid Sr. and Rebecca Reid of Richland, MO; eight aunts and uncles: Jennifer & Michael Wallace of Villa Rica, GA, Jason and Erica Hagerty of Waynesville, MO, Tim and Betsy Reid of Waynesville, MO, Kimberly and David Fisch of Dubuque, IA, Melvin J. Hagerty, Jr. of Casper, WY, Debbie Hagerty of Sebastian, FL, Melissa and Cris Childs of Waynesville, MO and Stoney A. Reid of Richland, MO; several cousins, other relatives and friends. Even though they have left us too soon, their memory will forever live on in our hearts. Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in the Buckhorn Baptist Church of Buckhorn, Missouri with Bro. Merrell Jefferies, Bro. Larry Atkins and Bro. John Dinwiddie officiating. The songs “Angels Among Us” by Alabama and “Friends Are Friends Forever” by Michael W. Smith were played. Serving as escorts were Melvin Hagerty, Jason Hagerty, Jessica Reid, Tim Reid, Virgil Jefferies and James Jefferies. Serving as honorary escorts were Clint Reid, Ethan Reid and Michael Wallace. Burial followed in the Hazelgreen Cemetery in Laclede County, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Matthew and Isaiah Reid to the Hope for Carol and Baby Scarlet Fund and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
