Mike McNeil

Michael Roger McNeil, or “Mike” as he was known by, was born on November 21, 1960, to John Joseph and Corma Ann (Noe) McNeil in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. His family settled into the small town of Richland, Missouri, where Mike grew up and attended school, graduating from RHS in 1979. Mike proudly served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge for his years of faithful service to his country. He was a gifted carpenter who enjoyed 37 years working his trade and the friendships made along the way. Though Mike’s home was Florida, his heart never completely left Missouri. He still enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. Mike also enjoyed serving others and going on mission trips. He would often talk about his trip to Honduras and how the kids there were enamored by his blonde hair and fair skin. Mike was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, proud father, and grandpa. He always encouraged and supported his children in their activities growing up; cherishing every moment spent with those he loved so dearly. Mike passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at age 60, in Kissimmee, Florida, leaving behind to cherish his memory, his loving family; wife, Janine Kim McNeil of Kissimmee, FL; three daughters, Ashley Perez of Umatilla, FL, Hannah McNeil and Desiree McNeil, both of Kissimmee, FL; one son, Joshuah McNeil of Summerfield, FL; four grandchildren; Elias Perez, Isaiah Perez, Milo McNeil-Bryant and Cleopatra McNeil; his mother; Corma McNeil of Richland, MO; four brothers, John McNeil (Kay) of Oldsmar, FL, Danny McNeil (Carmen) of Kissimmee, FL, Bobby McNeil (Judy) of Gainesville, FL, and Shawn McNeil (Toni) of Milroy, PA; two sisters, Terri Kisling (Neal) of Richland, MO, and Patti Dedmon (Eddie) Milwaukee, WI; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mike’s father, John McNeil, joined him in Heaven later that same evening of Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Michael was also preceded in death by his great nephew, Jase Bradley York. A memorial gathering was held at 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M., Monday, January 18, 2021, in the Osceola Memory Gardens funeral home with Dr. Linda Travalute officiating.
