Nicol Marie Pollreisz

Nicol Marie Pollreisz was born May 10, 1972, in Columbia, Missouri, to the late Joseph Albert Pollreisz, and Marikay Philomena (Policello) Pollreisz. She grew up in Columbia and attended both Rock Bridge Elementary and High School, graduating with the Class of 91. Nicol furthered her education and went on to attend UCM in Warrensburg, Missouri, and later she attended Columbia College, and Central Methodist in Fayette, Missouri, with a Melee Major. Nicol began playing the clarinet in the fourth grade; and played all through her college years with the Symphony Orchestra. She also played with the Community Band, and at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church while in Columbia, Missouri. Nicol was a very talented and accomplished clarinet player who loved making music and sharing it with all who would listen. She was beloved long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Richland, where she blessed the parishioners with her beautiful music in her younger years. Nicol worked in the food service industry for McDonalds at their various locations in Columbia, Osage Beach, and Camdenton, Missouri, until her health failed. Nicol then moved to Richland in 2013; but later moved to Camdenton, Missouri, with her cousin, and care giver, Jeannine Weiss. Nicol found relaxation while working on puzzles of any kind yet keeping her mind stimulated by each puzzles challenge. On the warm summer afternoon of Sunday, August 20, 2023, while in Camdenton, Missouri, Windsor Estates. Nicol went to be with God having attained the age of fifty-one. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph (2/19/2010) and her mother, Marikay (11/15/2013); numerous aunts and uncles. Nicol leaves behind to cherish her memory one sister: Brenda Pollreisz of Mesa, AZ; her Aunts and Uncles, Gary & Patricia Picard of Richland, MO, Ralph & Christine Thurin of Viroqua, WI, George & Carolyn Pollreisz of Columbia, MO, & Janet Pollreisz of Richland, MO; many cousins, including Jeannine Weiss of Camdenton, MO, who has cared for Nicol many years, & other relatives, and friends. Trials and tribulations come to all who are afforded life, this we know. Nicol experienced many difficulties with her health during her short time here on earth. However, she never complained or asked, “Why me?” Nicol took each day as it came and did her best to let her light shine and can now say…I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. – II Timothy 4:7. Heaven is not so far away until we can see Nicol again. Until then, may we remember her with always with a smile. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2023, in the St. Jude Catholic Church of Richland, Missouri, with Father Michael Murphy officiating. Rose Brown led the readings. Organist and Pianist, Karen Glawson played as the congregation sang, “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Be Not Afraid,” and “Blessed Assurance.” Serving as escorts were Alan Pollreisz, Ken Pollreisz, Gary J. Picard, Michael Picard, Roy Rowden, and Joseph M. Weiss. Honorary escorts were George Pollreisz, Ralph Thurin, Gary E. Picard, and Joseph L. Weiss. Private Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Mount View Cemetery near Richland, MO. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nicol Marie Pollreisz to the Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.
