Nina Delorse Kay

Nina Delorse Kay, daughter of the late James Tilford and Anna Ruth (Manson) Robertson, was born September 24, 1940 in Waynesville, Missouri. She passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri. Nina grew up in the Waynesville area and attended school. In the late 1970’s until the early 1980’s, Nina attended the Waynesville Pentecostal Church. Nina was united in marriage to Alma Lloyd Kay and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1983. Nina lived in the Waynesville area for most of her life. In the late 1960’s she lived in Utah for two years and then moved back to Waynesville. In 2010, Nina moved to Lebanon. Nina had the great privilege of being able to stay at home and care for her family during her working years. She loved being outdoors fishing and camping with her family. You would often find her out walking just enjoying creation. She was a constant encouragement to her family and friends and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed doing puzzle books, playing solitare and watching the news. Nina also loved animals and especially her little dog “Dolly”. Nina will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, five children: Pete Robertson (Amy) of Lynchburg, MO, Sharon Wyant (Vernon) of St. Robert, MO, Lloyd Kay of Lebanon, MO, Marty K. Kay of Dayton, OH and Delorse Jones (Victor Jones III) of Lebanon, MO; three grandchildren: Brittany Patterson, Michael Wyant, and C.J. Wyant; four great grandchildren: J.J. Wyant, “Little” Vernon Wyant, Anastasia Wyant, and Evelyn Wyant; one brother: Dorsey Robertson (Ruby) of Lebanon, MO; two nephews; one niece; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Nina was preceded in death by one son: Monty Cal Kay and one grandson: Matthew Lee Wyant. Services were held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Bro. Rick Sapp and Pastor Russell W. Smith officiating. The songs “Amazing Grace”, “One Day at a Time” and “The Old Rugged Cross” were played. Serving as escorts were Lloyd Kay, Marty Kay, Pete Robertson, Michael Wyant, C.J. Wyant and Victor Jones. Burial followed in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Nina Kay and may be left at the funeral home.
