Patrick Allen Tommie

Patrick Allen Tommie, son of Randolph Patrick Tommie and Norma Schmidt Hancock, was born March 15, 1951 in Richmond, California where he grew up and attended school. In 1969, Pat entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully until his discharge in 1973. For his faithful service, Pat earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device 60, Drivers Badge and Marksman Badgem-16. He had attained the rank of Specialist 4. On November 19, 1988, Pat was united in marriage to Marie L. D’Oro in Hayward, California. They shared over 25 years of marriage together and many wonderful memories. Pat was a jack of all trades, but the majority of his working years he spent in sales. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being outdoors while fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Francis J. Lynch VFW Post 3168 of Laquey. Pat passed away at 12:06 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Mercy Hospital of Lebanon, Missouri having attained the age of 62 years, 10 months and 12 days. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. Pat leaves to cherish his memory. his wife: Marie L. D’Oro-Tommie of the home; mother: Norma Hancock of Richland, MO; two stepchildren: Lisa LaFlam of the state of Oregon and Rodney Caughron of the state of California; two grandchildren: Bradley and Michael LaFlam and Joshua Caughron; one great granddaughter: Katie; two siblings: Vivian Dale Tommie of the state of Hawaii and Eileen Aldridge and husband Dave of Richland, MO; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Dennis and Loretta Hultman of Waynesville, MO; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Patrick Tommie. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Danny Graves officiating. The song “Hotel California” was played. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Burial with military honors followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery with honors being provided by the Missouri Honors Team. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
