Randall Joseph West

Randall Joseph West, or as he was known by his family friends: Randy or “Fuzz”, was born June 26, 1969, in Waynesville, Missouri. Son of Harold Ralph West and Shirley Jean (George) West, Randy grew up in the Pulaski County area and graduated from Crocker High School with the Class of 1988. In 1989, Randy entered the United States Army and served his country until 1992 and later re-entered in 1999 serving until 2001. He attained the rank of Specialist and earned the Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon. Randy was united in marriage to Sue Ann McCoy in Buckhorn, Missouri on January 5, 1991. They spent 34 years together and were blessed with two children: Ryan and Autumn. Randy was a hardworking man and took great pride in providing for his family. He worked for many years as a cook at the Ted Williams Steak House. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing dishes for the customers. In 2002, Randy began working as a civil service employee on Fort Leonard Wood. He was a material handler/forklift operator and did so for 23 years. In his spare time, Randy enjoyed being outdoors while fishing and working in the garden. He also enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues. He watched every game that he could. Randy was a self-taught mechanic and was very good at working on anything from a lawn mower to a vehicle. People were always asking his opinion on how to fix different mechanical problems. Randy loved his family dearly and treasured the times that they could spend together. He passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in his home having attained the age of 55 years. Randy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Sue Ann West of the home; two children: Ryan West and Autumn West of Richland, MO; five sisters: Ruby Sandusky of Waynesville, MO, Rita Bates (Paul) of Waynesville, MO, Renee Cox of Richland, MO, Rena Milcendeau (Bill) of Waynesville, MO, and Regina Suggs of Springfield, MO; mother-in-law: Yoshi Colby of Dixon, MO; two brothers-in-law: Mike McCoy (Lisa) of LaPorte, IN and Bobby McCoy of Dixon, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his father: Harold Ralph West; mother: Shirley Jean Green (Cricket); sister: Rhonda June West; brother: Ralph James West; and father-in-law: Harry Colby. Even though he is gone from our sight, Randy’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the Gasconade Cemetery of Pulaski County, Missouri. The family will gather and receive friends at 26661 Rhapsody Drive, Richland, Missouri after the conclusion of the graveside service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
