Robin B. West

Robin Bonita West, daughter of the late Lee Roy and Sadie (Crossland) West, was born February 16, 1961 in Waynesville, Missouri. As a young girl, Robin attended Laquey Elementary School until grade 6, later the family moved into the Richland area. At age twelve, Robin accepted Christ and was baptized in the river. She attended New Life Fellowship Church in Richland, Missouri and enjoyed the fellowship shared there. Robin enjoyed being a stay at home mom but also worked outside her home as a housekeeper at MWA Campground, the old Oasis Truck Stop, as a cook, and enjoyed working at the Fairs. Robin was very much a free spirited individual. She loved being outdoors and enjoying God’s creation while taking walks with her little dog, Boo-boo and fishing. She also enjoyed singing, baking, especially her homemade pies, and cinnamon rolls. Most importantly, she loved being a mom and grandmother, cherishing the times spent with her beloved family. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roy Wayne, David Lee and Douglas Dewayne West; one grandson, Benjamin Gaines, and one great grand-daughter, Sammantha Marie Reedy. Robin passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics of Columbia, Missouri, having attained the age of 58. Robin will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her. Robin leaves to cherish her memory two children, Sharry Wilson of Richland, MO and Richard Young of Crocker, MO; 5 siblings, Kay McKinnon (Delmar Lee) of Waynesville, MO, Rhonda Henderson (Wayne) of Laquey, MO, Lorna (John) West-Kensworthy of Waynesville, MO, Paula Cox (Darby) of the state of VA, and Donald West of Richland, MO; 12 grandchildren: Nathan, Mckayla, Renae, Dakota, Alex, Breana, Glen, Carl, Isaac, Lucas, Natalie, Shona, 2 great grandchildren, Xavier and Hayden; several other relative s and friends. Even though Robin is gone from our sight, she will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew and loved her. A celebration of life service was held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 in the New Life Fellowship Church in Richland with Pastor Steve Domingue officiating. Songs written and sung by Robin West were played. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robin B. West and may be left at the Memorial Chapel of Richland, or to the New Life Fellowship Church of Richland.
