Teresa Lee Ford

Teresa Lee Ford, daughter of the late Max Lee Ford and Wilma Irene (Young) Ford was born March 27, 1951 in Fullerton, California, where she grew up. Teresa graduated in 1969 from La Habra High School, La Habra, California. Teresa left sunny California in 2003 for the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she’d lived approximately five years before enjoying the rest of her years in Missouri. At the tender age of four, Teresa accepted Jesus, happily serving him throughout her life attending Assembly of God Churches. She attended the New Life Fellowship Church of Richland. The friendship of other fellow believers meant a great deal to Teresa, and she valued each one. Her incredible love for God and His Word sent her boldly spreading the Good News of Christ to anyone she would encounter. Teresa stood ready in and out of season to share what Christ had done for her. Teresa worked for twenty-five years with International Client Services for a Semi-Conductor Company making mass flow conductors for computers before retiring. She was a loving proud mother, and grandmother. The name “Mamaw” became the name Teresa was referred to the most even by her daughter, Kathleen’s friends. Her heart was as big as the ocean, and she had plenty of love to go around. Her hobbies included painting, cross stitching, and cooking all kinds of food. Teresa was known for her award-winning Butterhorn cookies. At holiday time her home smelled amazing especially during Christmas as she’d bake twenty-five different Christmas cookies! Family meant the world to Teresa the love she had for was immense. More than anything Teresa wanted to see her beloved great-grandchildren grow up to be awesome young adults. She was so proud of all her family. Teresa had a dream to one day go to Italy. She loved Broadway Musicals and even named her two furry dogs, Molly, and Maybelle after a couple of her favorite musicals. On her fortieth birthday, her daughter took her to see Les Misérables at the Pantages’s Theater while in California. Teresa was overjoyed, loving every moment spent with Kathleen. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Timothy M. Ford. Ms. Ford leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter: Kathleen Overman of Richland, MO; two grandchildren: Ryder Patterson and William Overman, both of Richland, MO; two great grandchildren: Killian and Avary; two brothers: Henry Ford (Marylynn) of Richland, MO and Woodrow Ford of Casa Grande, AZ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Teresa loved her country and was very political. However, if one took the time to get to know Teresa, they couldn’t help but love her. “She would help anyone.” On Monday, July 25, 2022, having attained the age of seventy-one Teresa entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior and heard her Master say, “It’s time…Come Home My child your work on earth is through, Welcome.” Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Pastor Gray Nordan officiating. Recorded music included, “It Is Well With My Soul,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Old Rugged Cross,” and “Look For Me” were played. Teresa’s daughter shared a touching eulogy of her mother. Serving as escorts were Henry Ford Sr., William Overman, Allen Lair, Ryder Patterson, John Bohannon, and Gary Patterson. Burial followed in the Wair Chapple Dowty Cemetery in Laclede County near Richland, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
