Treacy Ann Harden

Treacy Ann Grayer was born December 15, 1950 in Greensville, Mississippi. In her early years she was often found playing on a blanket next to her mother while she worked in the fields. Seeking more opportunities and a better life they made the move to California. When they got to California Treacy literally hit the ground running. As a baby Treacy Ann never crawled. She used to scoot along on her backside to get from point A to point B. One day while young Treacy Ann was outside a chicken flew onto her shoulders. That chicken inspired her first steps as she immediately stood upon her little feet and she took off running. A charismatic little girl Treacy Ann made lots of friends. With two front teeth missing she boldly introduced herself as “Thee Thee Ann”. When her friends would come ask if “Thee Thee Ann” could come out to play, the choice was made by her mother to pronounce Treacy to ‘Tracy’ to reduce confusion. Treacy stood out by her creative talents and her unique taste. As an excellent cook she would make her mother’s homemade biscuit recipe, handmade tortillas, chips, refried beans, lemon meringue pie and gumbo. As a nurturing mother she taught her children how to sew, knit, crochet, cook and how to perform arithmetic up to 1000 using your two hands. She also would create these beautiful watercolor landscapes and beautiful art work. Extremely innovative and resourceful one of her most famous creations was a hanging paper towel holder (made from two skewers, dental floss and a spool). Her professional goals were also ambitious as she set out to be an entrepreneur. Treacy held a California Real Estate License and was a landlord for many rental properties in Northern California. She founded Harden’s Income Tax Services and operated as a certified CPA for over 30 years. Treacy Ann Harden is survived by four children Taja Boyd by Edward Boyd, Ericka Harden, Aaron Harden and Ace Harden by late second husband AZ Harden. She spent eight years in Waynesville, Missouri and was quite fond of the community and surrounding counties. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. A devoted mother, wife and servant of God. She will always be remembered and loved. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
