William Dean (Bill) Forrest

William Dean “Bill” Forrest, son of Tommy Glenne Forrest and Virginia Diane (Ferrell) Forrest was born July 17, 1965 in Patuxent River, Maryland. Bill was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, where he attended Jr. High, High School and Technical School. He continued his education in metal works and became a certified welder and siding installer. Bill was united in marriage to Martha Deckerd in 1984; to this union one son Colt was born. Martha preceded Bill in death in 1997. Bill took great pride in being a craftsman. He has help build many homes and businesses in the Richland, Lebanon and Lake of the Ozarks area. His last several years of employment have been with the Charles E, Fry Siding Company of Lake Ozark. Bill lived each and every day to it’s fullest. He was an adventurer. He enjoyed motorcycles, four-wheelers and racing. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved the lake. Boating, skiing and camping were his favorite way to spend his leisure time. Bill passed away the evening of Saturday, July 14, 2007 as the result of a motorcycle accident in Richland while heading to his mother’s bedside. He was 41 years, 11 months and 26 days of age. He is survived by five children: William Dean, Jr. and Colt Forrest both of Lebanon, MO, Ashley Sunderland of Sturgon, MO, Marriah McIntire of Centralia, MO and Tasha Dilts of the state of Kansas; his father: Tom Forrest of Lebanon; one sister: Julie Ann Forrest of Richland, MO; his grandmother: Virginia Gibson of Centralia, MO; Aunt Brenda Ferrell of Centralia, MO; fiancé: Melissa Giguere of Richland; Melissa’s children: Brad Montgomery and Roiann Lynn; 3 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his mother: Diane; wife: Martha; his paternal grandparents; and maternal grandfather. All those who knew and loved him will sadly miss him. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life was held at 11:00 A.M Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. A poem was lovingly written and read by his Brenda Ferrell. And several of Bill’s family and friends shared their special memories. Songs played were “Born To Be Wild”, “Free Bird”, “Simple Kind of Man” and “Do You Feel Like We Do”. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of William Dean “Bill” Forrest and can be left at the funeral home.
