SFC (Ret) John Wesley Sweeney II, 50, and his wife, Brandy Lachelle Sweeney, 48, both of Waynesville, MO, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 in their home. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Full military honors for SFC (Ret) John Sweeney and burial for Mr. and Mrs. Sweeney will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, MO. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service of 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Mr. Sweeney is survived by his children: Wesley Sweeney of Oklahoma City, OK, Kayla Sweeney of St. Petersburg, FL, Rachel Sweeney of Kailua, HI, Danielle Sweeney of Waynesville, MO, Brianna (Ronnelle) Sharpley of Oklahoma City, OK, Karissa Hylton (Jacob King) of Waynesville, MO, and Clayton Hylton of Waynesville, MO; grandchildren: Aubree, Ronnelle, Damon and expected granddaughters, Rayla and Nova; brother Chris Sweeney (Nicky); sister: Lucy Sweeney; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Sweeney is survived by her mother: Dawn Pierce of Waynesville, MO; father and stepmother: Jimmy and Monica Arbuckle of the state of Alabama; stepmother: Bonnie Arbuckle of San Antonio, TX; her children: Wesley Sweeney of Oklahoma City, OK, Kayla Sweeney of St. Petersburg, FL, Rachel Sweeney of Kailua, HI, Danielle Sweeney of Waynesville, MO, Brianna (Ronnelle) Sharpley of Oklahoma City, OK, Karissa Hylton (Jacob King) of Waynesville, MO, and Clayton Hylton of Waynesville, MO; grandchildren: Aubree, Ronnelle, Damon and expected granddaughters, Rayla and Nova; brothers: B.J. Mears Pierce (Demetri), James Arbuckle (Alaina), and Josh Arbuckle; sisters: Tracy Watts (Dave) and Nola Roberson (Mike); and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
