Eric Angelo Nikitas

Eric Angelo Nikitas, son of Angelo Nikitas and Debra Lynn (Johnson) Nikitas, was born April 4, 1987, in Fort Bliss, Texas and entered his eternal home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in the University of Missouri Hospital of Columbia, Missouri having attained the age of 37 years. Due to being born in a military family, Eric moved several times with this family and in 2001 they were transferred to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he attended high school until 2003. The family was then transferred to Arizona where he graduated from high school in Sierra Vista, Arizona. After graduating from high school, Eric moved to Warrensburg, Missouri to attend Central Missouri State University where he studied until his junior year. He then moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona during the Covid pandemic. In 2021, he then came back to St. Robert where he remained until his passing. During his working years, Eric worked as a chef, home health, and a local animal shelter. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the guitar and being outdoors while fishing and playing football with his nephews, who were his pride and joy. He loved his family dearly, but his nephews were extra special to him, and he loved spending time with them. Eric was an avid sports fan, especially of the University of Arizona, but mostly the Las Vegas Raiders. He kept track of every game and enjoyed watching every time they played. Eric will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his mother: Debbie Nikitas of St. Robert, MO; father: Angelo Nikitas; two sisters: Michelle Nutter (A.J.) of St. Robert, MO and Cristina Nikitas (Alex) of Chico, CA; two nephews: Westin Nutter and Austin Nutter, both of St. Robert, MO; paternal grandparents: Carol Nikitas and Angelo Nikitas of Benson, AZ; maternal grandmother: Virginia Arthur of Sierra Vista, AZ; several other relatives and friends. Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Claudie Johnson; and Grandma Terry and Grandpa David Arthur. Even though he is gone from our sight, Eric’s fun-loving spirit and love for his family will live on in our hearts forever. Celebration of Life services were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Mike Wells officiating. The songs "Amazing Grace" by Darlene Zschech, "The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost" by Craig Morgan and "The Raiders" by Sam Spence were played. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eric Nikitas and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
