Frieda Faye Faris-Guerrero

Frieda Faye Faris-Guerrero, daughter of Raymond Rick Schmitz and Frances Ann Silcox, was born August 31, 1972 in Tucson, Arizona. As a young girl, Frieda grew up in Sierra Vista, Arizona and graduated from Buena High School with the Class of 1990. Frieda was united in marriage to Javier Gamboa Guerrero on June 26, 2013 in Waynesville, Missouri. They shared over seven years of marriage together and at the time of their union, two families united, and they shared four children between them: Isabelle, Callie, Rachael, and Corrie. Frieda loved helping children and her work reflected that. She served in different capacities during her working years. She served as a youth care worker and case management with Piney Ridge in Waynesville, case management and independent living manager for Boys and Girls Town, case manager and in-home care for Pyramid Home Services and most recently was the do-owner, case worker and social worker for Building Bridges II. Over her working years, she cared for over 50,000 at risk kids and she loved each and every one of them. Frieda was a member of the Waynesville Chamber of Commerce and took great pride in keeping the community informed about her important work with kids. In her spare time, Frieda enjoyed being outdoors either fishing with her daughter, feeding the hummingbirds, or gardening. She loved to dance and was an avid animal lover. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends, especially Felicia, Noel, and Tina. Frieda had made a profession of faith and attended Westside Baptist Church in Waynesville. She went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in her home after a hard fought battle with cancer. She had attained the age of 48 years, 5 months, and 28 days. Frieda will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Harvey Guerrero of the home; mother: Ann Silcox of Sierra Vista, AZ; daughter: Isabelle Faris of Waynesville, MO; stepdaughters: Callie Norris (Michael) of Waynesville, MO, Rachael Croft (Harley) of Ft. Carson, CO, and Corrie Barbara (Joey) of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren: Michael, Emersyn, Autumn, Grant, Paige, and Lilly; four siblings: Charlie Silcox (Donna) of Vail, AZ, James Silcox of Sierra Vista, AZ, Carol Capas (Wally) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Joseph Schmitz of Tucson, AZ; aunt: Carol Price of Sierra Vista, AZ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Frieda was preceded in death by her father: Rex Schmitz in 2010. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Frieda Faye Faris-Guerrero and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
