Jason Vernon Frye

Jason Vernon Frye, son of Lloyd Eugene Frye and Alice Marie (Hatfield) Frye, was born August 20, 1983 in Springfield, Missouri. As a young boy, Jason grew up in Lebanon, Missouri where he attended school. He graduated from Lebanon High School with the Class of 2002. Shortly after graduating from high school, Jason entered the United States Air Force and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge. For his faithful service, he earned several awards and commendations which include: Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He had attained the rank of Senior Airman. On July 14, 2002, Jason was baptized in the Jacks Fork River near Mtn. View, Missouri. Jason was united in marriage to Candace Marie White on July 2, 2016 in Dixon, Missouri. They shared over six years of marriage together. At the time of their union, two families were joined with Caleb, Jonathan, and Jaedon. In his spare time, Jason enjoyed being outdoors while fishing, hunting, farming, and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his family, particularly playing with Ari and Chloe. Jason passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 in his home having attained the age of 39 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. Jason leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Candace Frye of the home; parents: Lloyd and Alice Frye of Lebanon, MO; son: Jaedon Frye of Steele, MO; stepsons: Caleb Zakes of Dixon, MO and Jonathan Zakes of Rolla, MO; grandmother: Frankie Allen of Mountain View, MO; special uncle: Larry Frye (Karla) of College Station, TX; and special aunt: Kathy Phipps of Mtn. View, MO. In addition to several nieces and nephews, Jason is survived by cousins: Michael McAfee (Becky) of Mtn. View, MO, Kimberely Ellis (Nathan) of Morrisville, MO, Jeffery Phipps (Rochelle) of Batttlefield, MO, Katie Phipps of Mtn. View, MO, Kerri Tindle (Chris) of Republic, MO, Scott Frye of Vinita, OK, Joseph Frye (Jess) of West Plains, MO, Sheila Frye (Gean) of Vinita, OK; along with other relatives and friends. Jason was preceded in death by grandparents: Junior and Iola Hatfield, Roy Allen, Chester and Fern Frye all of Mtn. View, MO and John and Maria DMellow of Dixon, MO. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, MO. Arrangements and services are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, MO with a visitation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jason Frye and may be left at the funeral home.
