Patricia Ann Wilmer

Patricia Ann (Arthur) Wilmer, daughter of Albert and Ruby Mae (Easter) Arthur Martin, was born July 2, 1954 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. As a young woman, Patricia obtained her GED from Fort Leonard Wood and went on to attend and graduate from Columbia College and Metro Business College. Patricia was a hardworking woman. Patricia sold Tupperware and Avon products before obtaining her CNA license. She went on to medical billing and while obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree she began teaching at Boys and Girls Town. For a time, she even served as a 4H leader. Her greatest joy was being a housewife and mother. On July 30, 1982, Patricia was united in marriage to William S. Wilmer III in Madera, California. They shared over 27 years of marriage together and many wonderful memories. In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed being outdoors fishing with her husband, bird watching and working in her flower gardens. She liked doing word search puzzles, was very talented with quilting and cross-stitching, and enjoyed doing genealogy. She loved to listen to music and watching old movies. Most importantly, she cherished those times spent with her family and friends, especially the grandchildren and her dogs. Patricia will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her. She passed away the morning of Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center of Rolla, Missouri at the age of 55 years, 9 months and 23 days. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her husband: William S. Wilmer III of Rolla, MO; four children: Stephanie Tennyson (Christopher) of Rolla, MO, Christine Coplin of Rolla, MO, Charles Rude (Amanda) of Ozark, MO and William Rude (Elisha) of Rolla, MO; two sisters: Debra Granberg and Virginia Vanney, both of the state of Washington; seven grandchildren; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; Aunt Faye Longo; very special friend: Corrine Davis; other relatives and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother: Ruby Mae (Easter) Arthur Martin; one son: James Fredrick Rude Jr.; great grandmother: Vera Alice Lillian (Workman) Easter Thompson; one sister: Barbara Burman; and one nephew: Jason Vanney.
